What Can I Blog About??: If I Found Ten Dollars, One Hundred Dollars, One Thousand Dollars, ONE MILLION DOLLARS!!!

If you are anything like the majority of bloggers out there (myself included!) you will occasionally stumble upon writers block). I thought, as part of my regular blogging, that I might address this issue by making suggestions on what you might be able to blog about.

This is a fun exercise we used to do in school. It’s fun to look back at what I used to say I wanted back in primary school in comparison to my desires now.

Give it a go, the only rule is you have to SPEND the money. I.e. you can’t say anything like “I’d invest it” (boring!), “I’d donate it to charity” (ever so sweet but alas, also boring…) or “I’d pay of a debt” (oh wow, you just blew my mind! not)

If I found $10 I would… hire a movie, buy a loaf of bread and some slices of cheese. Then I would fob my beautiful baby boy off to one of his grandparents (free babysitting – haha!) and enjoy some toasted cheese sandwiches and a night in with my perfect boyfriend.

If I found $100 I would… visit my all time favourite restaurant Delissio Brasserie (I seriously can’t even explain how scrumptious the food here is) and eat until I puke. Hells yes.

If I found $1,000 I would… throw a fabulous birthday party for my 26th birthday (oh gosh, not far away now!). I would spend about $250 on food and the rest on grog. Me and all my super cool friends would eat, drink and be merry :)

If I found $1,000,000 I would… buy a new house! I’d save $50,000 so I could take another year off work then I’d spend the rest of it making my house into utter perfection. I want to stay in Canberra but the houses here are soooo expensive. I think I’d get this one… it is actually quite reasonably priced for a house this size, plus it is only about 3 mins away from my current house!

Realistically though… this is the next house I would like to buy. It’s walking distance from my Mum too!
What would you spend your moolah on???

Cool Skulls

This is kind of grim but I just love the way skulls look. Not dead-kangaroo-rotting-on-the-side-of-the-road type skulls but beautiful (fake!) clean white skulls that have been artfully decorated can look amazing! I’m also loving anything skull shaped.

Here’s some I’ve found recently that I’d like if you should feel willing to buy or send me a gift.

Can I Interview You Please?

One of the things I enjoy most in life is hearing or reading about other people’s perspectives on almost anything.

I would LOVE to interview you. I want you send you an email with a bunch of questions, have you reply and work with you on a post for my blog. You can remain anonymous or we can take pictures, provide some link love or I can even force one of my friends to stalk you! The possibilities are endless…

Are you interested? Drop me an email or comment below and I will get back to you ASAP!

OK, well I don’t have any post related images to add to this so here is one of my current hair colour. Thoughts?

N.B. I will also be looking for some guest bloggers in the near future. At the moment I just want people to answer questions but if you are also interested in a guest post please let me know.

I Heart Joseph Hart!

I must say I utterly enjoyed the Valentines Day episode of Glee, ESPECIALLY the introduction of the new love of my life (sorry Mitch and Ry but it is so!) THE Samuel Larsen.
Samuel Larsen, winner of the Glee Project and my heart…
He’s just so beautiful and such an amazing singer! Now, Glee is my all time favourite show ever, however the serious lack of male vocal talent (excepting of course the fabulous Chord Overstreet who also melts my heart) was bumming me out a little…. but then the heavens opened up and the beautiful Joseph Hart (aka Joe) descended upon us. Love, love, LOVE!
Samuel Larsen and Chord Overstreet
Joe’s first ever Glee number was “Stereo Hearts” by Gym Class Heroes and, along with Chord Overstreet (Sam Evans) rapping surprisingly well, the song was nothing short of fantastic.

While I’m here, some other scenes worth mentioning from the Valentines Day episode include:
  • Mercedes (Amber Riley) singing “I Will Always Love You”. Just gorgeous.
  • Meeting Rachel’s Dads. This mention is not a good one. I was severely unimpressed by these guys. I was expecting so much more…
  • “Teenage LESSSBIIAAAAANNSS!!” haha, it cracked me up when Principal Figgins yelled this out in the hall. I’m glad we finally got to see those girls kiss though!

The Legend of Saint Valentine

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERYONE!

If you are fabulously in love I hope you are spoiled absolutely rotten by your partner in love. If you are a single guy or girl rockin’ in this big ol’ world I hope you have an utterly fantastic day celebrating the awesomeness that is you!

When I was a kid and a super big loser with no potential loves and very few friends I adored this poem. I thought I’d share it with you…

The legend says St. Valentine
Was in a prison cell
Thinking of his little flock
He had always loved so well
And wanting to assure them
Of his friendship and his love
He picked a bunch of violets
And sent them by a dove.

And on the violets' leaves
He pierced these lines divine
That simply said, "I Love You"
And "I'm your Valentine"
So through the years that followed
From that day unto this
Folks still send messages of love
And seal them with a kiss.

Because a Saint in prison
Reached through prison bars one day
And picked a bunch of violets
And sent them out to say
That faith and love can triumph
No matter where you are
For faith and love are greater
Than the strongest prison bar.
